Rural Minds Founder and Chairman Jeff Winton Provides Testimony to The FDA
Rural Minds Founder & Chairman Jeff Winton spoke at a U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) open public hearing, representing the 46 million people living in rural America.
In his testimony, Jeff spotlighted the challenges people in rural communities face in accessing mental healthcare and the urgent need for effective mental health treatments – especially for rural residents living with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
Jeff noted that while rural Americans make up just 14% of the U.S. population, nearly 1 in 4 U.S. military veterans live in rural areas and many of these men and women face an increased risk of PTSD due to combat exposure.
Rural Minds is committed to advancing access to desperately needed new treatment options for PTSD.
