We appreciate your thoughtful investment in Rural Minds™, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization working to confront the mental health emergency in rural America. Rates for depression and suicide are higher in rural areas than in urban areas.(1) According to the latest research from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), suicide rates among people living in rural areas are 64 to 68 percent higher than those in large urban areas.(2)

Recognizing self-reliance and a do-it-yourself mindset as common traits among many individuals who live in rural communities, Rural Minds aims to empower rural Americans with the information and resources they need to become part of the solution to improving mental health by confronting rural mental health challenges and the stigma that surrounds mental illness.

How to Give

Use our secure donation portal to give a one-time gift or a monthly pledge with the option of making your donation a tribute to honor or remember a loved one. We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover Card.

Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD)

A QCD can be made directly from your IRA. Anyone over the age of 70 ½ can make a gift through their IRA; and if you’re 72, you can make a gift out of your required minimum distribution. Most Americans don’t itemize their deductions. But you can save on income taxes with this approach while providing much-needed support to help us help others. Please contact your investment advisor to request the appropriate document to complete.
