Dave Roberts

The National Grange’s appointed representative to the United Nations Council of Organizations, Executive Committee Administrator and Treasurer
Dave Roberts is a 12th-generation resident of rural Connecticut where his family first settled in 1629. He is a fourth-generation National Grange member, and his six children are fifth-generation Grange members. Dave is President of Riverton Grange #169 in Barkhamsted, Connecticut, which was chartered by his great grandparents. In addition, he serves as Vice President of Mountain Laurel Pomona Grange #15, Lecturer for Connecticut State Grange, and serves as the inaugural At-Large Fellow for the National Grange SHIPmates program.
He is a 1 in 1,000 supporting member of the National Grange Foundation, served on the National Grange Policy Committee on Hemp & Cannabis; and now serves on the National Grange e-Membership Working Group. Dave is also the National Grange’s appointed representative to the United Nations Council of Organizations, where he serves on the Executive Committee as the Administrator and Treasurer.
Prior to retiring in 2017 at the age of 56 years old, following an extensive public & private career that started in the Pentagon, involved overseas work and ended up as an elected official in California, Dave also served as an appointee to both Presidents George W. Bush and Barack Obama in the Department of Health & Human Services where he worked on health reform policy.
