Asheton Medlin – Speaker Bio
Asheton Medlin is a dedicated youth leader who hails from Roxboro, North Carolina, with a strong background in community service and agricultural advocacy through the National Grange.
She graduated from Person High School and went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2025. She is currently working at the UNC Cancer Center, with future plans to pursue a degree in veterinary medicine.
Asheton has been a member of the National Grange since she was 8 years old, when she first attended North Carolina's State Grange camp. She is heavily involved in her local, county, and State Granges, advocating for mental health among rural youth.
Asheton collaborates closely with Rural Minds, serving on the Rural Youth Mental Wellness Program committee to help guide outreach and programming for rural youth mental health.
