Rural Minds Founder & Chairman Jeff Winton and Pennsylvania Grange President Matt Espenshade were interviewed by host Roger Hearing on BBC World Service’s World Business Report, which reaches an estimated 100 million listeners worldwide, on Friday, September 19.
Jeff owns, operates, and farms Wall Street Dairy, LLC, a family dairy farm in Mayville, NY.
In addition to his role with the Grange, Matt operates Evergreen-Valley Farm in Elizabethtown, PA, along with his father, Harvey. Together they manage a 70-cow dairy herd and farm 250 acres, growing corn and forage crops.
The two discussed the ongoing economic farm crisis, trade disruptions, and how these challenges are affecting the mental health of farmers and rural communities.
