PBS PREMIERES ROADTRIP NATION DOCUMENTARY EPISODE FEATURING JEFF WINTON OF RURAL MINDS
As a fitting start to Mental Health Awareness Month, May 2026, the latest Roadtrip Nation documentary series, “Where Wellbeing Grows,” features Rural Minds Founder and Chairman Jeff Winton as one of the innovative leaders working to expand access to well-being for all.
In the first of two episodes, “Our Shared Healing,” three young adults on a cross-country trip to explore careers and pathways that support well-being met with and interviewed Winton on his farm in Mayville, NY. He shared the origins and work of Rural Minds as well as his thoughts on being open to any and all possibilities when it comes to careers. The episodes began streaming online as of May 1 and are running at various times on PBS networks across the country.
“The majority of the stops on this multi-location tour and filming were located in urban areas such as Washington, DC, New York City and Atlanta,” Winton says. “Rural Minds had the distinct privilege and opportunity to showcase life in rural America, on an actual working family dairy farm.”
