Dr. Pravesh Sharma is a psychiatrist and addiction researcher with the Mayo Clinic Health System and an Associate Professor in the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science. His work focuses on supporting the health and well-being of rural communities, especially around substance use and mental health. He partners closely with community members, faith leaders, and local organizations to design practical, culturally respectful programs that fit everyday life. Dr. Sharma leads several projects that develop new tools, digital resources, and community-based approaches to reduce stigma, improve access to care, and strengthen recovery supports. His goal is to work alongside rural communities to build solutions that truly meet their needs and help families thrive.
